Been using emule for several months - no problems until now (well, except for corrupt .met and .part files, but that's another story!).
Just in the past few days, when I connect, nothing downloads after the program has been up for hours. Before that, I would always have at least a half-dozen files downloading within a few minutes and speed was good.
I see on the server log, I'm getting this error over and over:
"Error: Client UDP socket, failed to send data to nnnnnnnnnnnn: Error 10004: A blocking operation was interrupted by a call to WSACancelBlockingCall."
I actually never checked the server log before, so don't know if this message was always there or is a new development.
So I looked this up on the Internet and got a bunch of high-level programming nonsense that I don't understand, and it seems to have something to do with "SDK" (Software Developer's Kit), which I didn't know I had, don't use, and don't know how I got it if I did.
This might have something to do with my most recent Windows Update I did a couple of weeks ago?
Yes, I tried to search the eMule boards, but the search hasn't worked for the entire day - I keep getting "Sorry, the board administrator has enabled search flood control", whatever the heck that means. (Why can't we just speak English?).
So I went through the messages manually one by one and didn't see this in the subject line of any of them. Maybe I missed it.
And, yes, I've been through the tutorial of how to manually bypass Windows XP firewall troubles, ports, and all that. And, yes, I tried turning off every other firewall and virus scanner I have - plus turned off Peerguardian, restarted my PC several times, etc., etc.
Anybody out there who can tell me what this is and how to get rid of it?
WindowsXP-sp2, eMule v0.46c, dialup.
Thanks sincerely...
