I wonder if eMule is the detection and prevention of deadlocks? And how.

lemme guess, you are a master student and want to write a paper about eMule? okay, your answer is: read the code!

i am not a professional developer but there is one thing i learned until now: dead locks appear when a thread/mutex/lock are doing something they are not supposed to... usually the cure is to code it in a way nothing can go wrong... since there is not an awful lot of time critic events and threads in official eMule. so chances are, there is not even a need for caring much...

No, there will not be a new version of my mods. No, I do not want your PM. No, I am certain, use the board and quit sending PMs. No, I am not kidding, there will not be a new version of my mods just because of YOU asking for it!

The next version is going to be way more intresting in terms of avoiding deadlocks with the reworked uploadcode ;) Anyway wikipedia can tell you more about deadlocks than eMule.
