Good day,
I would like to address the setup of the Dutch pages instead of going into translation issues.
Frankly, the setup in the Download section is a mess.
I am very often refering Dutch friends to the Emule pages and they can't even find the install file!
After a few attempts they give up.... and if I don't dive in to send them Emule, most are going BT.
For starters, links are showing wrong highlighted text.
When hovering over a link, the lines of text above that link are being highlighted.
So, when hovering over the second link, the description of the first link is highlighted.
When hovering over the third link, the description of the second link is highlighted.
So, this also means that when you click the description of the second link, you are actually clicking the third link.
This is absolutely confusing and frankly a very messy job.
The descriptions should not be highlighted in the first place.
The next big problem occurs on clicking the first link.
(Most folks go for the first link including all language and help files).
Instead of being redirected to sourceforge to download the file, Dutch users are redirected to this page:
http://content.emule...view.php?pid=35
Now, correct me if i'm wrong but that is
not where they should be!
That page offers no files to download except for Ed2k links, which obviously don't work if you don't have emule installed.
People who end up here get totally lost.
The next two links are correct in the fact that they do lead to Sourceforge.
However those links deal with wrongly highlighted text (as described),
so most users aren't sure that what they click is what they need.
I find this situation very disturbing.
It basically prevents all the non-persistant people in an entire country from using the ed2k network.
And those are the ones you specifically want.. The ones that turn on the Mule, go to their jobs and/or families
and let it run for ever and ever.
I see a lot of people getting lost, getting annoyed and not willing to give it another shot.
They mostly end up using another well known p2p program.
Please, PLEASE, correct this situation as soon as possible.
Greetings,
Bushdoctor.
