Hi all

Since recently, every rar file that I download is encrypted and says you have to give $1 to get password.

Is this for real ?
Or is this a fake file ? .. In that case how to avoid it.

Sounds like you're getting bad search results from fake servers. (or did you find them via link sites or other means?)

Look in Quick Help & Guides and see the serverlist guides, to get a list without bad servers, and the fake files guides.

No it' true. But it is not fair as long as I recover password I announce it trough my pages & in e-mule file.

Uhm there is not the ONE password for all rar files ...
A passworded file may just be fake, as xscarab wrote (especially when they want money it doesn't sound very trustful, does it?).
Or it might be "real" with real content, in this case the password could be the URL of a ed2k link site the file came from. In this case you should watch out for hints in the filename, your sources' filenames, comments, or even try to ask a source.
