1. Details show up fast for Searches, but in the "Downloads" there seems to be a "Please wait" time for each files Detail one clicks to see..

Maybe it would be possible to choose in Options for the prog to load all Details at once to browse faster through all Details.. And then one could click to Refresh all Details at the same time..

I heard the traffic generated in the prog is no more than a few bytes.. then loading all the Details at the same time might not be more than 50 or so times a few bytes, that's maybe still acceptable if someone chooses it to work in this way..

2. So yeah, as said in previous Feature Request.. I'd really like to see Real-Time releases of new files show up on the mobile phone and that people be able to Start the download of those new releases from the Phone.. So like a sub-page for ed2k:// links posted on the web.. categories, but like people type in adress for such a release page..

3. I'd really like the PC eMule to be able to call the phones MobileMule.. so that the phone could ring when a file completes, when specific amount of data is transfered, when a new file is released on specific "release page"/"release community" - also maybe it could ring when somekind of news message is posted on such same special new-releases page, when Friends send a message..

Yes I thought about it too. The problem is, ithat most phoney dont have to much heap memory, so storing to much data could become problematic.
But still I think its worth implementing it and it is on my todo list.

Just a simple idea....

It would be possible to save the preview images? I'd like to send them to friends (via MMS) to show what I'm downloading.

cheers :D

My most wanted feature is the ability to add files to the download list by typing the ed2k link...
You could add this option at the main menu, "Add file", and selecting it will take you to a simple input screen, where the user will type in the link, and by clicking OK the file will be added.

Oh, and...is there a way to search globally?

By the way. is there a way to fix the annoying bug of not seeing ANYTHING but the field at the search window when using a "right to left" interface (Hebrew, in my case).

There is one thing I think could be added to the application:

The Server name, I really think that the display of the server name would be great.

Other than that I would just like to thank the developer for such a gret proggie...

Hi

I wonder if anyone is thinking about putting together a WAP version of mobilemule?

I would really like to get it working on my phone, I've tried everything but it seems that my network (Vodafone, UK) is filtering/blocking access. Reading the forums it seems that a lot of people have this problem?

see -

http://forum.emule-p...showtopic=31094

It seems that with many service providers there is NO way around this - so mobilemule will NEVER work

But a WAP version would get around this, although it would use greater bandwidth ..

Hi there!
What about making mubilemule able to check, if it has already logged in earlier. Since my PC is on 24/7, mobilemule always shows all files completed since last emule-start. what about changing the log-checking-script into a script, which not only parses through the emule-log looking for file-completion-related logs, but also for mubilemule-logged-in-related logs?? I mean: when mobilemule finds out, it has been logged into the emule-client earlier, it could show only the changes which took place afterwards.
Or at least add a command to reset the emule-log via mobilemule...
thx.

Just to add on others, mine and MunkY-HeaD's feature request..

That is to somehow be able to browse a bunch of ed2k:// links and be able to add them in Downloads.

In the Search section how about an "Add Direct Download eD2K Link (s)" like there is in eMule.

"Type ed2k:// link"
(a reminder that an ed2k:// link looks like
ed2k://|file|PIA05015.tif|67511623|EC794DC5D17E3108B1C7D88C31D90024|/
meaning probably the only way users will add an ed2k:// link will be by browsing the internet with the normal browser software, then copy and paste the link into MobileMule (it doesn't look like Pasting external text is possible now for example in the Search box of MobileMule.. I wonder if enabling copy/paste of any text into MobileMule would be difficult to implement)

Then I would hope to see in the main Menu a new section called something like:

"Browsing"

(here user would be required to have typed in addresses to the simply designed in HTML (or maybe some other way, in simple .txt file or something) release-pages on the internet that have ed2k:// links. The adress to those Release pages would be saved in MobileMule.. user can "Add Release Page".. the MobileMule would then be able to browse such a Release Page and when a Release is selected the ed2k:// would then be added directly to the Downloads!

The whole "Release Pages" section might be very deep.. it enables also the designer of a Release Page on the internet, to make links between pages, just like on the World Wide Web.. So if the pages are HTML, then the designer could design a specific search page, a listing of Release Pages.. maybe forum posts or comments even could be added here to pages, depending on how advanced the pages are made (php, databases whatever the designer chooses to do, as long as the pages are displayed using HTML or maybe some other simplified markup language only-for-MobileMule ...

so for example the functions would look like, ([text] are buttons):

MobileMule > [add page] > [edit page] > [remove page] > [edit order]
----------------------------
Browsing

[Slashdot latest ISOs]
[Latest eMule-project.net Content]
[Transmission-Films.com VOD]
[FileHeaven.org Mobile]
[ShareReactor.com Mobile]
[HowardDean.com Mobile]
[CNN.com Mobile]
[Napster.com Music-On-Demand]
-----------------------------

MobileMule > [go back] > [save page to cache] (> that feature is to save the page on the phone, so the user can access it again without having to get it off the internet again)
-----------------------------
FileHeaven.org Mobile - [refresh]
[previous release listings]

040124 [Al Pacino Doc] (< that is ed2k:// link, when clicked adds to Downloads)
040124 [Laurel and Hardy episode Two Tars]
040123 [Made in USA - Jean-Luc Godard (+eng-subs)]

-----------------------------

MobileMule > [go back] > [save page to cache]
-----------------------------
FileHeaven.org Mobile - [refresh]
previous release listings:

[last week]
[week before]
[last month]
[last year]

-----------------------------

Ok.. anyways.. I understand the complicated thing this must be.. it's maybe useless or impossible anyways.. or there might be Legal stuff in the way to want to do such a thing now..

That's it..

Something to do real time releases between friends,

in emule, shared tab the files would have an option 'Send to friends' that would send the link to your friend list by mail or phone number. you would recieve a msg to your phone with the link and somehow open it on mobile mule to download

hi, MobileMule is a great program, very nice work! :+1:

1) Can you add a function to preview images (such as *.jpg)? And also add into the "search" section a filter to search only images?

2) Many videos start with a few seconds of black, so picking the first frame of a video in the preview mode will result in a black image... Is it possible to select a specified frame or to pick a random frame from the video?

Thanks for your work on this useful project!
