Here is a list of all java enabled mobile phone which are currently known not to work with mobilemule. All phones which are not listed here should work fine or were not tested yet.

Sharp GX10
Firmware: All
Status: Not Supported
Reason: Developer deceided to restict network access for "security reasons" in a way, which makes it useless for applications like mobilemule
Fix: currently none, there might be a walkarround available in later versions

Nokia 7650
Firmware: 3.12
Status: Firmware update needed
Reason: The firmware version 3.12 is bugged and corrupts mobilemules connection requests
Fix: update your firmware. There is no MobileMule fix possible which allows MobileMule to work on 3.12

Siemens S55
Firmware: 12 / 14-16
Status: Firmware update needed | minor problems
Reason: Won't work with firmware 12. The most current firmware ist still buggy and will corrupt images in mobilemule, however other than that it is usable.
Fix: update your firmware

Nokia 6310i
Firmware: all
Status: not supported
Reason: This phone supports only Jar-Files with a size of max. 30KB and has only 140KB Heap memory.
Fix: -

Whenever I get more feedback the list I'll update this list

Sony Ericsson P800 also gets the job done. ;)

It does have a tendency to shut down once in a while though, especially when using the search function.

Firmware:
Phone CXC162002 R2D
Bluetooth CXC12529 R5A
Organizer CXC162001 R2A16
CDA CDA162001 R3A12

But pretty sweet for such an early release! Nice, guys - thanks. :+1:

LG 5350 (Sprint PCS/US) does not work. It downloads the file, looks like it's preparing to install, and then I get this error message on the phone:

-------
Install Fail

906 Invalid Descriptor
Manifest is too big or does not exist in JAR

-------

Details:

LG 5350 Phone, on Sprint PCS
Software version: LX535021
Browser version: [OpenWave] v6.1.0.6.1.106

I use a Nokia 3410. Firmware 04.26 04-09-02. Spanish.
All of MobileMule wors fine, but it can't remember mi ID or IP and my password.
Every time I start the aplication, the same thing: configure the port, the login method, save password.
Enter ID or IP, password an enjoy!

What's wong? My phone (probably) o the application?

PS.: Excuse me for my English ;)

Finally I achieved to download and install mobilemule on my motorola t720i (my phone says its size is 112 K!).
However the problem is that i can't connect to my webserver. when i put the id and pass and i select login the hourglass is shown on the screen but it remains so for long long time. what's the problem?

Use the connectiontest and please post the result into another similar or new thread.

Nokia 9210i Communicator works, although I needed to do a software update (easy as pie, just download the lastest softs from nokia's download page, push em through the cable and you're ready and set)

Only WWW interface works - not WAP althougth MIDP (beta from forum.nokia.com) installed.
Nokia 9210's WWW browser can't handle eMules's Javascripts...

So... 9210 doesn't work with WAP and the reason would be PersonalJava instead of real MIDP.

you using a 9210 or a 9210i (<- i)
try a dial-up connection to plain old internet (not wap...) and use http://xx.xx.xx.xx:yyyy/ to find your webIFC.
Does that not work either? because it works (painfully slow...) for me.
