I would NOT suggest using defunct MLDonkey in today's time as its legacy software which is now obsolete but I would HIGHLY recommend you to use aMule, which is par with eMule current standard. If you want to operate seedbox type infrastructure for ED2K/KAD then I would suggest just port installing *daemon *common *cli packages for it. Just be sure to properly config the server for more help you can post on our aMule forum and when I see it ill answer it.

He had the right idea but his execution was wrong but he did come to the largest client that uses the network still.

My experience with Amule is fatal. The web interface that breaks for no reason on its own. The fix is to disable it))) simply phenomenal. The only thing that is great is the amule broadband rc4 build. Why can't this client download normally? It constantly stops downloading by itself and gets into a queue where there is no one). Mldonkey works perfectly. But it has a problem with the return that cannot be adjusted. It does what amule will give a piece and stops it..
From all this. I was able to set up emule 60d broadband. After a few manipulations I was able to) reach gigabit. And I can pour everyone 24/7 without stops and queues. Even for lowid

I have seedboxes running aMuleD for decade+ some still from 2012 as most of the nodes are propagated and sync running with full autonomy. I haven't used WEB since 2015 as I have it disabled so I can't comment about that but you can still connect via remoteGUI or via terminal CLI. I inject about 5TB of data on ED2K/KAD weekly from all nodes combined so I don't know these problems you referring to as the queue is 100kB/s max per user it shouldn't kick in unless the bandwidth is depleted thus giving whoever in current upload tree full bandwidth. Let say you did have downloaders placed on your client on queue then they must send you query to start download if its lowID because you cant open connection to them but you can reply to there incoming and thus establishing. This is why HighID always supersede in queue system and instantly moves on the list faster. I have transmission-daemon + amule-daemon running simultaneously.

Thanks for the detailed answer. I will try to squeeze all the juices out of the amule at the weekend. I only manage about 4 TB per day. Roughly speaking, qbittorrent extracts everything via rss, and emule already hashes it and distributes it to the network.
