Hello eMule Community,

I've been experiencing issues with the mediainfo.dll component in eMule. Specifically, the problem seems to be limited support for video file formats beyond .avi.

When attempting to gather media information on .mkv or .mp4 files, mediainfo.dll is not providing the expected details such as video duration, codec, and bitrate. However, it works fine when analyzing .avi files, offering all of the expected information.

Here are the steps I've taken to troubleshoot this issue:

Checked for the presence of the mediainfo.dll file in the appropriate eMule directory. It is present.

Despite these efforts, the problem persists. Only .avi files are fully supported, while .mkv and .mp4 files aren't being properly analyzed by mediainfo.dll.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any insights or potential solutions would be greatly appreciated. Is there perhaps a different version of mediainfo.dll that offers broader file format support, or is there another workaround that might solve this problem?

Search your entire system for other versions of mediainfo.dll.

Advise version numbers and file location of all you find.

The last working version for emule seems to be 0.7.81 (MediaInfo_CLI_0.7.81_Windows_i386.zip - 2015-12-31 - from sourceforge.net).

There are later versions on my system that work.
Maybe look in mediaarea <.> net/en/MediaInfo for more recent versions. (The forum software wont let me post URLs - reported)
