Hi all,
I am an old user of emule, most in the past.
In these days I have been looking for three type of software plus a very old one but I couldn't find anything on kad.
Where can one find pirated software or alike today? Are there new mechanism?
Thanks
I mostly use emule for songs on physical media as I can only rip CDs. I also use it to occasionally download a searchable copy of a book when I can't find a passage. I'm not sure what the legal status of using emule to download digitial copies of stuff I own when I could theoretically do it myself (although I'd need to buy a cable to connect the tape recorder to the computer, and my record player broke last year)
For software you probably want to use torrents.
In addition, sometimes the very old stuff can be found on archive.org.
There are also a lot of abandonware sites for games from the 20th century, but less so for non-game programs.
I am only answering this because I've had a legitimate need to find cracked copies of games to install on systems that lack an optical drive. Plus Windows 10 deliberately blocked some of the most popular copy protection from working so even with an external DVD-ROM they won't work.
Oh, please feel free to comment on if what I've stated is legal or not. Especially digital copies of books I have physical copies of. In theory I could scan them and then use OCR software, but that would take hours at least.
