I'm on Windows 10, and I understand there are limited number of TCP/IP handles available on Windows OSes.

Whenever I run eMule, it eventually reaches full upload capacity, but then it affects my web browsing, among other problems.

Mostly I upload, and I only very rarely download.

I would like to have eMule running 24/7, but right now I can only run when I'm sleeping.

Q1) How should I configure my connection options for when I'm actively using my PC?

Q2) I want eMule to run full throttle when I'm sleeping. How should I adjust the scheduler options so they switch back and forth automatically?

Change the maximum upload speed. Which upload do you have from your ISP? Set eMule's limit ti 75 % of it and it should be fine.

The setting is in Options - Connection - Limits.
Upload limit should not exceed 80% the true upload capacity.

Handles issue I think was resolved after Windows 7. The worry about the connection limit hasn't been an issue for quite a few years. Some routers have ways of prioritising different types of traffic, so you can set web browsing on port 80 to have precedence over your P2P traffic on whatever port you have configured.Check your router manual, especially the part about gaming traffic tuning, as that is doing exactly that.If your browsing is mostly download, and your file sharing is mostly uploading, surely you will have the optimum use of your internet link?
