Hi everybody. It's several weeks now that no server is active, not even Sharing Devils which was the only one still running. Is something wrong going on? Thanks.

Hi,
Reliable servers are available here:
www.emule-security.org/serverlist/
shortypower.org/
Just click add servers to emule when your client is running.
You can also enable server list updates from a connected server or clients in emule settings
so you will get around 30 servers but some of them maybe bad configured (give lowid) or display fake stats.
Updated and Legit Emule Server Lists are available here:
www.emule-security.org/ and shortypower.org
You can also enable options for updating server list from a connected server and clients
in order to have all currently available servers listed in your Emule software.

I may have found part of the problem: There's a version conflict that prevents downloading most server lists!
But emule won't show you any error message indicating this failure unless you check the log.
I look at www.emule-security.org/serverlist visually, and I see a whole bunch of servers listed.
I fill in Servers > "Update server.met from URL" with [omitted to get past forum filter robot]www.emule-security.org or www.emule-security.org/serverlist, click "Update", and see no change to my Servers list, which now always lists the same 6 servers, no matter what server list I update it from: SD1, emule security, new server (47.37.145.12:28288), peerates.net, peerbooter, and WEB (183.136.232.234:4244).
I look in the log, and see this:
Only gruk.org allowed my client (v0.60c) to download server.met, and it has these same 6 (which do work).
$3C = 60, my emule client's version number.
But the error says "Invalid version tag in server.met", not in my client. Possibly $3C indicates v0.60d? But this seems unlikely.
I would expect all versions of v0.60 to have version number $3C.
So my guess is that these other servers are trying to force me to use an OLDER version of eMule!
I'm still running v0.60c because, when 0.60d was released, they triggered many dire virus hits on virustotal.com . (It doesn't anymore.)
BUT, there's ANOTHER bug: Some valid URLs don't work. There's a Spanish server.met at
That's a perfectly valid URL, but any variation on it typed into "Update server.met from URL" will give a log error like this:
I can download that file by hand, but I can't find any way to update eMule from a file rather than from a URL. Help?
Please update your comments to say what version client you're running. You should always do this when reporting, or "answering", a bug report.
