I'm a user that's a few weeks older since you posted too!

The old truism for file sharing applies universally: The fastest you can shared files is dependant on the slowest segment of the link between the end users. You don't have control over any other part of the internet other than inside your premises. If the other person sharing the movie you want to pirate is uploading using a dialup modem, you will only be able to download from them at dialup speeds.

Has your ISP rate limited your file sharing speeds? Some do.

Is anybody else sharing your internet link for heavy duty traffic? Teenagers are often to blame.

Is your undersea internet cable link destroyed by warring countries? (new 2022 question)

Do you have other software on your computer which may be loading up the link (authorised or malware)?

Have you configured your router ports correctly? Do the port numbers match your software?

The most active movies that are most widely shared have finished downloading first, and the remaining ones with less or slower sources will take longer. Be patient and they should eventually come through.

I have a similar problem with download speeds but not identical.

I just finished setting up Emule and have the port forwarding working however on a test download the speed is usually about 40 - 50K that is kilobytes a second but my modem is capable of 5 megs a second. I set the slider bar and typed in a download limit to 512,000 which should give a very high download speed but it doesn't. The slider bar goes back to about 40-50K by itself after pressing the save button. It just wont remain at a high setting. Any advice as to how to make the slider bar remain at a high setting and what am i doing wrong ? My ISP does not restrict P2P so there is no interference from that side.

Kind Regards and thanks for any help.

I´m completelly lost to solve this since I've made all I know. Someone can help me with this?

How's your port forwarding? Are you firewalled?
