Emule 0.60d x64 stops responding and loads one cpu core for several minutes during server connection if a lot of files is shared (76000 files and 130 gb)

An answer after long time...
Unfortunately this is a default behaviour of all eMule versions. Whenever you reconnect to a server, emule recreates a message package which will be sent to the server and also kad contacts. This process scans all shared files and collets some about them. For 15000 files this takes 1,5/2 hours even on an SSD, so I cannot imagine how many hours it would take for 76000 files :S

I'm already writing a mod (x86 based on a 0.50a) that sends this package only once at start which will still take a lot of time but then reconnects will be completed instantly. This "option" is ready and working for me for some months. But there are other features I'm trying to implement on the mod. I'll share it in this forum when it is ready.

good afternoon, is it going to have the built-in search engine? I don't like the search engine

It'll have. I can't even imagine an emule without a search feature.

Good morning, do you have notions of cc+ to develop an emule without a built-in search engine? I think it would be better to have one with a search engine and another without a built-in search engine

Stop asking and demanding, nobody is interested in your petition. If you want it, learn and do it yourself.

Even more unfortunate is that users, even would-be modders, do not read docs or older forum topics, pay no attention to inherent limitations.
The reasonable number of shared files (including downloads) should be way lower than posted here.

fox88, I believe this is an area of modding, not official development. I'm aware of that most of the developers and modders don't care about mass download / upload numbers. But I personally do care this specific title and I'm trying to tweak codes in that way. I believe this is what "modding" is, it's custom; some needs while other don't cares. Ofc, I also plan to share what I develop when it's ready.
