For some reason emule unpacks lzx compressed files during hashing. I use this to compress files "compact /c /s /a /i /exe:lzx"
Flylinkdc and gtk-gnutella do not require unpacking before hashing.

Compression and uncompression should be transparent to user programs.
To calculate hash value the original (unpacked) bytes are required.

Would you please give a more detailed description of when exactly this happens?
Configuration details (OS, eMule) would be interesting also.
