I know about aMule, xMule, ... etc ports, but they are horrible.
May I build original eMule on UNIX-like system?
Thank you.

You can't. eMule is not cross-platform and uses a lot of Windows-only technologies.

I have to Agree with NoMiaus, Wine is a Option, I have been using Emule & Amule about 19 years, first 10 on windows, but since about 2012 been running mostly using Wine on Linux, But recently I "cheated" & Started it in Lutris, and used Steam Proton 6.3 to run it, Works like a Charm ... I have been in PC Industry last 50 years, so I don't want issues with software, I just need Software to work, this works well..
Proton 6.3 lets me run Halo Master Chief Collection Here, so I suspect if it can handle MicroCrap Software, it can handle little old Emule ..
