Version 7.0a x64

If I use quotes in the search term, then the tab title in the search displays incorrectly.

If the whole search is in quotes e.g. "raggle taggle" then the tab title just displays a hyphen and then the number of results in brackets.

If the search contains quoted and not quoted text e.g. "raggle taggle" gypsy then the title just shows the non quoted part of the text along with the results count.

The actual search itself works fine - but if you have a lot of tabs like this open, then it makes them fairly unusable.

This behaviour was the same in V 0.6d x64. I don't recall it acting like this in prior versions though.

Thanks for the report.
The regression will be fixed.
While the thing is broken, simpler string rattle tattgle jypsy should be preferrable.
Unlike some search engines in the net, quotes do not imply search for an exact phrase.

Interesting - I thought the quotes did seem to work for exact phrases - maybe I was wrong on this though. Has this never been the case?

If I test it on my original example, raggle taggle picks up slightly more results than "raggle taggle", including for instance raggle-taggle which is excluded with the first term.

To give a more real world example using server search, duran and duran duran both give identical results - but "duran duran" excludes say christina duran and many other things from the results.

Search behaves differently in KAD and in ED2K: Light On Searching.
For servers your understanding is quite good.
Also, please be careful with examples related to copyrighted stuff; my message has been edited for extra safety.

Thanks.

My original example wasn't actually meant to relate to copyrighted stuff - I thought of a random phrase and it happened to also be the name of a song - will be hard TBNH to think of phrases that aren't.
