Hi,
with 0.51d and 0.60a x64 on win 7 when starting download of a file, all sources stucks in "unknown" status for a long time, even 10/15 minutes, then it begins downloading normally.

This problem doesn't occurs always but some time, randomly.

Once it's solved (after 10/15 minutes) the subsequent downloads doesn't have the problem.

I'am connected with High ID and port test passed (ADSL connection), I never had this problem with emule I used before (eMule0.50a - eMule0.50b)

Thanks

Could there be any useful messages in Log and Verbose panes?

The description suggests that the connection might get overloaded and things appeared to be stuck for a while.
It might be that settings in Options->Connection should be checked and adjusted according to the true bandwidth capacity (measued at speedtest.net or alike).
What modem/router(s) are used?

the connection, settings and router are exactly the same I used with previous versions of eMule, which didn't show the problem

Sure; but still, will you please post the numbers?

Also, there was a question about the logs.

These numbers are should not be a problem, but speed limits and true line capacity are still unknown.
Would you please add this information?

And another question, how many sources are there for downloads, when you see this Unknown state?

it's a 20MB ADSL
the router says:

Downstream (Kbps): 21049
Upstream (Kbps): 886

speed test by Ookla:

Download: 17.12 Mbps
Upload: 0.72 Mbps
Ping: 27ms

this seems irrelevant: it happens with both many or few sources

Thanks for the bandwidth information, but "speed limits" is about the values in Options -> Connection, capacity and limits.

All the posted startup sequence takes 6 seconds. Which line shows a problem?

Do you mean this happens with just one source too - 10 minutes timeout?

i do not set a download limit (unlimited)
and the upload limit usually between 10-40 Kb/s

i don't remember a file with only one source
but i can assure you that i saw the problem with files that had less than 10 sources, for example

thank you again for the support

10 kB/s is not good for other people in the net.
With your connection, upload might be 70 kB/s without any issues - unless there are other P2P applications running.

The testing topic gives an idea.
Are you using network shares or NAS as file storage?

no, I don't have other P2P running and no NAS or network shares: the files are on an internal SSD disk.

When you add a download with many sources, what you would see for the sources in Status column?

The picture shows exactly what could be expected when the download has not even started yet.

as I said the problem is that this staus sometime lasts for minutes

in this other screenshot you can see a file with only one source (I connected to 5 different servers and it remained with only one source)
so this prove that there's the problem even with one source only

I tried to add a download, or to restart eMule with an already added one.
Also, switched versions between 0.50a and 0.60a, and every time had the same behaviour.
Which is, shortly after adding a download (or connecting to servers and KAD after restart), eMule was getting a list of sources and started asking the sources for file data.
There was no prolonged time when sources hanged there without being requested for download.

You might try to enable protocol obfuscation.

I had the same problem, but with v60a it was fixed, the issue disappeared...
