Had eMule for ages it was put on my desktop by someone with much more knowledge than me. Had a computer breakdown and now after downloading eMule again it won't connect,it just says preparing and nothing happens. Is there any help for a complete computer dummy?

Go to Options (Alt+O), Connection, Test Ports. If OK, look for valid servers.
But my setup fails. What can help pass it? A TCP test fails immediately. It is suggested that the issue is with the firewall or router. I don't use either. I successfully used the same portable eMule with the original settings 2 years ago on the same PC in another installation of the same Windows XP. Torrents work.
There is Notice: Undefined index: obf in /var/www/www/porttest/htdocs/ct_frame.php on line 15.
