Hi,
 what about frontend and backend separation? After that it could also add a linux compatibility on backend (especially considering that the aMule project stopped).

I tried and I failed. I have not the skills for do that.

Imho aMule is unstable. I think that an emule backend (or simply an lib-emule) should be easily ported on too many platforms.
