Could you please explain what that means?
For example: the button gets disabled;
or clicking the button would not close the visible tabs.
Also it would be very helpful to describe steps for reproducing the bug, because in simple tests the button behaved correctly.

To me the same thing happens to me
When you search in a short period of time, (between one search and another, about two minutes), the program crashes
Searches performed in automatic
The only solution is to restart the program
My operating system is windows 10 64 bits. The Incoming and temp folders are installed on a disk other than the emule program, although they are in the same partition

It would be great if you could create a crash dump.

You mean the file eMule_Verbose.log
Sorry for my English, it's very basic

This setting must be added manually, as in the topic On Emule Crash.
Your screenshot is not showing a crash, but probably the program hangs.
In that case a dump could be created using Process Explorer, menu item Process - Create Dump.

No idea, yet there I see your advice to downgrade. That effectively blocks any possibility to improve the program or fix bugs.
By the way, there are already several different issues reported in this topic, and no error message, no log lines, no crash dumps. Nothing.
Anybody knows how to fix bugs without reasonable feedback? Because I do not.
Searches are saved when eMule exits normally. In case of unexpected termination all the searches performed in this particular session would be lost.
For example, if Windows 10 decided to reboot because of updates.
