Hi, after a crash I had to respawn the config folder and all stored searches went lost. I tried to copy the old StoredSearches file in the new config directory, to no effect.

Anybody can tell me what files should be copied from the old to the new config and/or address me to a guide on the subject?

Thanks in advance!

AC_SearchStrings.dat if you mean the auto-completing list, StoredSearches.met if you mean the searches you did and are opened. Not sure if they fit what you asked. You have you close eMule before replacing any file. Some files and descriptions are missing but this might be useful: http://www.emule-pro...ic&topic_id=106

I have had a similar problem, many times, because my power line goes off everytime it's raining. Anyway, I found out that eMule seem to save searches only when you close it, so if you did many searches and then the software/computer crashed or power went off, all of the searches from the last session will be gone forever.

Whenever you reinstall eMule you can copy the old folder to the new one before starting it, and everything (that was correctly saved) will be there. Obviously the location of such config files will differ depending if you run it as admin or not, and make sure you also put the temp and incoming directories in the right place before starting it, or modify them when you start it.

There is an option somewhere, probably in Advanced, to set up that parameter. If you instruct Emule to save changes at once you'll be slowing it down significantly tough, and a poweroff during the saving process may waste the install.
