I downloaded a file with eMule 0.51b
This file was properly downloaded.
When i rebooted the machine and started eMule, eMule crashed
I'm sorry but i do not have a dump file... i do know what fixed it though

Downloaded filename: "( Xxx Xx Xx) - 00 - Xxxxxxx Xxxx'x Xxxxx Xxxx - Xxxxxxx Xx Xxx Xxxxx.xxx"
Rename it to: "Xxx Xx Xx - 00 - Xxxxxxx Xxxx'x Xxxxx Xxxx - Xxxxxxx Xx Xxx Xxxxx.xxx"
This file was in my "Incoming Files" folder of eMule

Here you could find out how to enable crash dumps.
I will try to reproduce the crash with the already supplied information.

What version of Windows you are using?

32-bit Windows?

Was eMule crashing more than once when you tried to start it after reboot?

I tried to add into Incoming a file with the obfuscated name you gave, or to download a test file with that name.
If the idea was that the parentheses caused a crash, then it did not.
Probably it might be renamed back without new crashes.
The location of crash suggests that file name could be read incorrectly from the known.met; reasons unknown. Rename operation could fix the issue.

it happened again. Unsure whether the the problem or fix has anything to do with the rename now...

Windows 64bit

Thanks for the dump.
The failure happens when loading an emulecollection file.
To reproduce the crash, please see if it would be possible to get an archive of your emulecollection file(s) via a dropbox link in PM, for example.

The crash was reproduced; and will be fixed.
