Hi Folks,

Let's start by playing a game. I'm sure most of you have played it several times before. The game is called, "Let's Pretend I Have No F*#king Clue What I'm Doing".

Ok...

All the help topics I've seen are for windows. I did a search for "Macintosh" and it seems that no one has the Mac Emule client V 1.0.0.21. Which is what I'm running.

My OS is: High Sierra V 10.13.4 (Though they keep bugging me to update so that may change up)

The Portforward dot com link is dead. At least it is to my version of firefox. So I need to know how to configure my Router.

Router is a: Belkin N450DB (Yes, I know it's old)

I'm not using a firewall except the one built-in to my Mac.

And I usually use a VPN. Currently I'm with NordVPN.

None of the help posts here are doing me any good because even the options in emule itself are different between Mac and MS.

My ISP says they are NOT blocking any of the ports emule uses. They rattled off a list of the ones they use and none of them are even close.

So I guess the first thing I need to do is get my router configured. Can someone help me with that please.
My Next question would be is there anything I have to do in my Mac to make sure I have a clear line to the emule client.
Then, does anyone know of any issues (or tips) with a VPN, especially NordVpn? Should I use the VPN IP when configuring anything?
Next would be if there are any changes I could or should try in the "Options" section of the Mac version of emule.

If any of these questions have been addressed in another thread then please feel free to point me in said direction.

Thanx for your time folks.

This is a different story. VPN should provide port forwarding.

1.) eMuleTorrent version 1.0.0.21. That's what it says when I pull up the "About". Is there no such thing as eMule for Mac? Are you saying that it should be called nsaTorrent or what?

2.) Your links worked. The link in the 14 year old post (pre-https) did not. Thank you but they don't have my model listed. I will try working something out with the info they do offer. And I would not use your suggested search engine if my life depended on it.

3.) I've tried several VPN's over the past few years and none of them offered any kind of option to forward specific ports. Nor have any of them managed to mention that they do such a task.

4.) Refer to the line: Let's Pretend I Have No F*#king Clue What I'm Doing. And I don't do well with vague, one-liners.

eMuletorrent is possibly bundled with unwanted software: https://sourceforge....etorrent/files/

This site is for the official eMule, which is designed for Windows only (but runs in Wine too); it has nothing to do with torrents.
Take a look at amule.org for a Mac client.
Torrent clients are offtopic here and should be sought elsewhere.

Neither do I.
The basics of port forwarding are always the same, so please try to look at other models from the same maker; there could be guides that will suit you.
But VPN will make this forwarding pointless.
