I use Window 8.1. I notice more and more frequently lately that I get a Low ID after a few days. The Connections in emule and in my Router match, but the tests fail. The problem is caused by the IP address that I've assigned to the TCP and UDP has advanced by one digit: 192.168.1.150 one day, then 192.168.1.151 two days later, and so on. That means that every few days, I need to change the TCP and UDP in emule from, as an example, 6640 and 6650 to 6660 and 6670 and match those numbers in the router. What's causing this and what prevents it?

Most probably, DHCP is enabled in the router.
In that case, either ensure a static IP for eMule's computer, or try UPnP.

DHCP is enabled --- I see that in the description of my router at 192... but how do I change that or ensure the static IP or try UPnP?

UPnP should be enabled in the router and in Options - Connection of eMule.
Free guides for setting static IP for different routers could be found in portforward.com site.

You could avoid this problem entirely if you go with a VPN that provides dedicated IP; resolving your issue to constantly change TCP or UDP. It's probably to do with the countless of users on the same IP address which you could deal with smoothly only through a dedicated IP VPN.
