Hello, i'm testing the v 0.51d (on windows 7) since this morning after more than ten
years using almost daily the 0.50a version.

The main issue is that the new version crashed 4 or 5 times, but it seems improving
it hasn't for some hours now.

I'm surprised, i thought the interface would have a little changed but it's the same
as the good old one, nothing wrong... i like the old one !

On the positive, i'm over 200 000 users since this morning, which has not happened for a long time...
even if i know there's no reason that the newer version could have any impact on this matter
but still...
I've always had some people downloading from me at any time, but now it's almost always at least seven peers at a time,
this almost never happened with v.0.50a. Is there someting new that improves the connectivity ?

And my main questions : is there a way to import my stats on the new version? On v.0.50a those stats
have all my emule usage history, and i don't want to lose that.

Moreover, i've been sharing many files for years, and i also would like to know if it's posible to
import the transfer stats (in "Shared" , "transfered" on the right of the files).
It may seem silly but again some files have been shared for nearly a decade and i would like
to keep that history...

Thanks for reading.

Edit : i switched back to the 0.50a version and i'm back with one or two
occasional leechers when i was at the max of my upload connection with
nearly ten leechers with the 0.51d version !
I'll take a close look at settings and will try to exactly duplicate the
0.51d settings.
Moreover i'm low ID and behind a vpn on both versions.
If i could duplicate my history stats i would gladly switch to the last version.

leechers

This word in torrents only means peers that are downloading (from you).
For eMule users the word leechers defines peers that refuse to upload what they have, completely or in decent amounts. So this is a bad guy in eMule's world.

Simply replace 0.50a executable file with 0.51d.
This could be found in the Docs as a simplest way to upgrade.

Thanks for your answer, yes i was thinking of peers and not leechers, english is not my first language ! ;)
Do you think that replacing the executable could preserve my upload/download stats ?

I have 3 emule folder. For testing purposes, i simply move the newest config with my current stats ect, on the folder from the version i want to use next. Sometimes some options are resettet, but you keep the history, known clients and your ID for credits ect.

I recommend to copy a backup to an other folder, should something go wrong.

There's already Shareaza for that, i don't really see the point in the classic emule...

Or NeoLoader ;)

You are just sore that bittorrent remains strong and ed2k is fading into oblivion...
imho... the best way to keep at least some users in the ed2k network is to offer them multi platform clients with bittorrent support.

Shittorrent is about file trading.
eMule is about file sharing.

I don't care about file trading. GTFO.

This is simply and plainly wrong, the trading aspect applies only between peers that don't have the file completed yet, every seeder (peer with complete file) indiscriminately uploads (shares) as much as he can to all downloaders.
In fact eMule's approach with a credit system and persistent ID's across sessions and different files is the epitome of trading.

18.05 is the last version works correctly with emule.

Everything works as expected: should mediainfo.dll provide data, eMule would display it.

eMule cannot be responsible for design decisions of mediaarea people.

No it does not, mediainfo provides data

The "removed" part of the changelog entry means nothing then, correct?

By the way, "not working" reports are not very helpful.
Most of the data is still present on screen, so please try to be more specific; and do not expect that anybody has a collection of media files with all imaginable combinations of codecs, number of channels and so on.
