I can't connect. It says share island is dead. What is and where is this island? Please, help!

"Share Island" is the name of a former ed2k server, that no longer exists, but it is still listed in the (outdated) serverlist download of emule comes with.

To fix this, in emule, go to "servers" tab, mark all servers in the list in upper half of that tab, and delete them.
Then on this website (bookmark it) : http://www.emule-sec...y.org/index.php
click on "Serverlist" and then "Add to emule".

Your emule should then have an up-to-date serverlist.

I don't know what are the default settings for the server options nowadays, but better check them:
in Emule, click "options", -> Server -> uncheck the options "Update serverlist when connecting to a server" and "update serverlist when a client connects" - as more often than not they will tell you non-existing or "bad" servers, that will be of no help, but get in the way.
