Hello,

Ive had to re-install emule after it was necessary to reinstall Windows.
The reinstall went smoothly. All previous transfers repopulated.
Ive made the same setting as previous including the forwarded ports.
There is an exception in the Firewall, this time Windows Defender.
UPNP keeps failing to to set up port forwarding. However when I check the ports they are open.
It appears to be a mirror image of the previous set up but neither eD2k or Kad will connect.
Any suggestions on what I might be missing?

Are there any error messages in the Log pane of Servers tab?

if neither kademlia not ed2k connects, how did your "previous transfers repopulate?"

anyways, two things come to mind immediately:
- I should not wonder if the serverlist that comes with a download of emule is obsolete since long gone. (have not downloaded eMule in years myself, so would not know, but typically in the past the download package was never updated outside version upgrades). Delete all servers in emule and download a new list from eg. here : http://www.emule-sec...y.org/index.php
- one thing that changes after windows reinstall is the LAN-IP, if that had previously been a "fixed IP". Had router portforwarding rules been made to send emule traffic to LAN-IP no. *.*.*.* and your current LAN-IP is different, then the traffic won't reach your PC/emule.
