Hello,

There are many rare files (some were never completed) as sources.
There are other sources (like torrents) that are at 70% or 89% completed.
I usually wait for a file to be complete in eMule and after I add that file to torrent making the file 100% available to other networks.
We are talking about the files with the same length, of course.

But there are cases when a torrent file is "more advanced" in "download" than the same file in eMule download queue.
I tried the same technique: renamed the file on my hard-drive and renamed the old .part file - replacing it with another file but it doesn't seem to recognize "more" that it had.

E.G. In eMule file AAA.part is at 20%. On my drive I have AAA.mp4 at 99%. I'm trying to bring the "extra" and make the .part file to be at 99% as well.

Is there a way to help the "downloads" in this way? To use different sources and obtain one complete file?
Also, I'm sharing the other files in the eMule software but maybe because they are not complete the eMule doesn't try to upload from torrent to other users and complete the file for other users.

Thank you in advance for your answers

Simple copy would not work.
There was a program to import torrent partial downloads into eMule.

some mods offer to "import parts from other file" - will work well only if the "other file" differs only at the very end of file.
So sometimes it can import only one chunk, or none, sometimes all the chunks you need.
I have used it successfully to combine two incomplete files into one complete file once in a while (though both incompletes came by ed2k)
----------------

I use this old 0.49c mod : https://forum.emule-...opic=65063&st=0
There should be more modern mods offering this feature, but I do not know them.
It's Screamin' Jay Hawkins and he's a Wild Man, so bug off!

well, actually I just heard eMule from my friends, I wanna ask that can I open my torrent on eMule? I downloaded some movies or videos from torrent sites which are in different formats, but unfortunately found that these files will not be compatible with my player. I googled a lot but found a rare thing about torrent even though I got a page tells how to convert torrent to mp4 at here http://www.videoconv...ent-to-mp4.html I found that although it is a good guide, my mac OS has no use, what should I do next? Buy eMule? thanks a lot

eMule is Windows program, therefore you would need Wine or something to run it. Or try amule.
Both are free, do not ever buy it.

Now about playing and converting.
Try to find codecs and/or players that could play that media type.
Converting between video formats is not recommended because it usually degrades quality.
Finally, since that kind of question is not about eMule itself, it might be suggested to ask in media playback related forums.
