HI All

I have eMule 05a running under Windows 7 Ultimate
Everything works fine - High ID, decent downloads etc

I start up PIA; tell eMule to connect via the port PIA is using; restart eMule and get High ID and a KAD connection.
the eMule TCP and UDP tests are passed no problem.

So what is the problem I hear you ask?

Well what happens next is the eMule download speed increases gently for about 20-30 seconds and then, over 90 secs - 2 mins the download speed drops off to 10 - 15kbps - far less than is achieved when PIA is not running.
Also when PIA and eMule are running it takes ages to connect to a website - 2 minutes after entering bbc.co.uk the home page had still not appeared.

So it seems some conflict has been created but what and how to fix it . . . .

More irritating is that this used to work fine. Then I had to reinstall Windows 7 and it has subsequently never worked!

Have you tried to search in the net on something like "pia vpn emule"?

Yes. Cant find anything similar.

PIA and eMule when running together also screw up browsing as browser then takes forever (2 - 3 minutes plus and sometimes never) to connect to a website

Did you try to be more specific in your searches?
For example, add 'slow' or 'low speed'. Or, if this is related to high number of connections common for P2P, similar issues could take place with torrents.

whats are your hardware specs?
the vpn needs some cpu ressource to crypt and decrypt the vpn tunnel.
also is the bandwith share by pia.

i prefer for vpn and emule ovpn.to, airvpn etc

Try to downgrade TAP to 9.9.2_3 driver version.

I had the same problem solved by asking VPN assistance. Once TAP is installed, restart PC.
