Hi,

Why is only Win version of eMule ? Program is GPL'ed, but work only in non-free environment. This is strange.

Is or not plans about full-free version of eMule ?

I known about port called aMule, but it is fork.

Thank You !

Alexander.

You answered your own question so there is no need to reinvent the wheel, as aMule is fork of xMule (fork of lMule [fork of eMule]). eMule is targeted at Windows platform where aMule is targeted for multi *nix platform supporting UNIX/Linux/Mac. eMule and aMule doesn't share same development team and the time of stable release is high on both due to actual developers. You need to understand how both of these clients were programmed as lib for it will give you hint why. You can try eMule mod: NeoLoader which can be deployed on Linux and supports ED2K/KAD+Torrent. But I suggest you stick to aMule since its virtually identical as more home user migrate and dumps intrusive Windows more and more new aMule based clients are coming online.
