I've been using E-Mule for many years now (mostly uploading)and never had this problem before. I have a Client (the same ID) who insists on downloading multiple copies of the same file.(12 copies last week). I've IRC'd him - left messages etc. - he just ignores them !

This of course interferes with the whole sharing principle of one file per user and an orderly queue. It also makes other Users have to wait longer. He has no server IP address (just a "?" )so I can't block his server.
Neither can I find out his IP address and block that.

I understand the principle of allowing everyone to download without restriction, but this is abusing the principle.
He obviously wants to get it faster.

I'm now at the point where I will reluctantly stop uploading all together, if I can't resolve this, as it's not fair to other Clients.

I would insert a screenshot of the offenders details,but there is no facility here.

Yes.
Take its IP from verbose log (options - extended - verbose - tick enabled and log upload/download events, click ok).

Example:

Removing client from upload list: Completed transfer Client: 9291502@91.200.42.46 (151.63.135.86) 'http://emule-project.net' (eMule v0.50a,OnQueue/Uploading/None) Transferred: 1:00 h SessionUp: 15.38 MB QueueSessionPayload: 15.37 MB In buffer: 307.07 KB Req blocks: 1 File: xxasasadaddaa.avi

91.200.42.46 is the server IP
(151.63.135.86) is the client IP

You can add the ip to your ipfilter in this way: option, security, click edit button, it will open a notepad instance named ipfilter.dat, write/type in it xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx , 1 , persistent downloader, where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is its ip address and persistent downloader is a description (that you can skip), save the file, press reload button.

Anyway, he could have got a dynamical IP address (from its ISP), hence its IP could change after few hours/days.
