If I read well, eMule uses Internet Explorer anyway at the moment, even if the default browser is not Internet Explorer.
If Internet Explorer is in offline mode, people have trouble in updating the servers list, in example with "Update server.met from URL" and it is not so easy to guess that Internet Explorer is the problem, so maybe using cURL would be wise.
What do you think about this?

eMule doesn't load HTTPS addresses neither. It should.
