We all got the news: The Pirate Bay is gone. Of course, you'll say, there are many more trackers out in the wild, why don't we just switch to them? Well, you could do that, but what makes you think the authorities won't raid that one too?

Enter eMule.

eMule implements the serverless Kad2 protocol. You can find stuff, you can download and upload stuff, you can chat about stuff without having to use your browser. They took down all web servers on Earth? Kad2 still works.

Give it a try! :)

There are still a lot of good torrent websites where you can search content.

KickAss is an example.

Yep - websites. Easy to tear down. Not decentral.

For any site that will go down will go up another one. And TPB database is still avaible :)

TPB is not the first torrent website that went down, and will not be the last. Torrent protocol always survived to that.

And eMule users won't even notice that something has happened.

Yup, their "noticing" about the p2p world is paused on 7-8 years ago more or less

... maybe is too much. Let's say around 5-6, not more.

Oh, yes. We missed having to change URLs every few weeks. Now that's a huge loss.
