Emule50b Dev build 12, works really well, under wine, on xubuntu, in fact better than in real windows, the little dual core ran it all weekend, @ 2Mbits up, without missing a beat, IRC works, in fact all, except I didn't set up VLC, as I didn't want windows/wine to handle it ...
So hopefully good news, Windows will be GONE, Emule win32 version was my last reason, and now it runs fine on wine, Better than & Faster than Amule or Emule on MS-PC, Sorry to say to Amule users ....
I used QT4wine to set wine up & make a shortcut, with no issues, ran as normal, and still is after 48 hours, I will get really excited when/if after a month online ......

Time Since Last Reset: 13 Days 21:09 Hours, Runtime: 13 Days 13 Minutes, it was @ 5days I updated wine to 1.7 which happened without a reboot, & me fiddling with IPTables & Causing 1, & 20 hours or so, of me learning more about IPTables & not noticing I had emule Offline ...!!
VLC can be installed in wine "Bottle/Prefix" and Video's will Play & Preview, but if makes Lappy work hard (8gb ram,2 Core) while doing 2mbits up, & it is better to play it in VLC on xubuntu, However on Desktop it is fine, (32gb ram, SSD, AMD 8core)
On desktop machine, I had 3 copies in different .wineprefix's, 3 windows emules, running on 1 Xubuntu desktop !!!!
If u have emule on a windows "C" partition, & it's Files it shares & incoming on USB drive, the USB drive must be mounted b4 starting "c:/progfiles/emule/emule50b", with QT4wine, the drive must be "mounted" in the system, Not a issue if emule prog DIR & all files (temp/incomming/shared) on USB, cause opening emule50b with qt4wine, on USB drive, mounts it.
The lappy likes this, it has gone quiet, when WINDOWS7 ran it, the fan was on all Day & Night, I had a cooler under it, I unplugged the cooler, now if the screen blanks I have to look @ lights & move mouse just to make sure all is OK, but so far it always is with Emule ...

Yes I know, but with Different Routers & Jailing those 3 wine emule's on this INTERNAL network, with 4 working PC/laptops here, 2 of which are Capable of running multible VM's, it was a Test, I can simulate multiple clients & INTERNET, to experiment/test/push till it falls over ....
I was NOT recommending it to anyone, or explaining running jailed processes/VM's as a Virtual Network, just I did it & was amazing how the WONDERFUL Emule 50b took it ...
