Whenever I open emule I get a pop up box saying "No server list address entry in 'addresses.dat' found. Please paste a valid server list address into this file in order to auto-update your server list" I don't seem able to open addresses.dat to paste anything into it. How do I do this? What should I paste there?

Options - Server untick 'Auto-update server list at startup' or keep the option selected and click 'List...' then paste one or all the following lines:
http://peerates.net/servers.php http://gruk.org/server.met.gz http://shortypower.org/server.met

Since these website go down all the time, can't they just stick with github/gitlab/gitea?

The word unblowuppable is thrown around a lot these days, but I think I can say for certain that... (Boom)
btdigg.org is back online at btdig.com and btdigggink2pdqzqrik3blmqemsbntpzwxottujilcdjfz56jumzfsyd.onion
It is like btjunkie in that it only indexes metadata, and with a difference: it crawls dht torrents, not centralized trackers.
