Hello,

My apologies if this has already been asked many times, I'm finding this a bit more overwhelming than usual. I just installed the client, tried testing the ports but they have failed. Can someone help me connect wit eMule?

My OS: Windows 7
Antivirus: Avast
ISP: Virgin Media with Super HUB modem

DL Cap/ Upload Cap: 96/0 KBs
Download and Upload limit: unchecked
Hard limit: 400
Max connections: 500
Activated networks: Both
TCP Port: 59591
UDP Port: 49377 (disable is unchecked)

Just a quick question, does this require port forwarding? I've done this once but only for a minecraft server.

Again, my apologies for asking what may have been asked 100 of times

Thank you

Yes.
If you own just a PC read here.
Update your servers list and connect to Kad, too.

Servers: in eMule Options - Server untick the first three options, be sure 'Autoconnect to servers in static list only' in untiked. and click OK.
Servers, rightclick, choose Remove All, click on 'Update server.met from URL' and press Ctrl and Del to delete all serverslists, then paste one of the following

http://gruk.org/server.met.gz
http://peerates.net/servers.php
http://shortypower.org/server.met
http://upd.emule-security.org/server.met

right click on PEERATES.NET, choose Priority - Low, repeat for PeerBooter, click Disconnect and then Connect.

Kad: get high ID on eD2K (on a server) and start downloading something.

Ports forwarding on your Modem is mandatory to get a High ID.
Seems to be some topics related to "Virgin Media with Super HUB modem" to forward ports like this one:
http://help.virginme...OMER_TYPE=Cable

Not using your model so make your own search. Set a unique port for TCP and one unique for UDP.
Make sure they match emule ports.

Close emule. restart your Modem and restart emule. Redo the test.

Set your upload speed to ~80%. Unchecked does not help download faster it's the opposite and you will experience trouble doing other tasks who require Internet access. Rest seems to be ok if you followed Zangune post.

Depends what you do with your machine but... Avast...

MS Securtiy Essentials is enough if you need an antivirus.
Do not install a 3rd party Firewall.

Let us know if you get a High ID or if you are stuck somewhere.
May help others with same ISP and modem.

I am having problems connecting to eD2K NET & Kad NET, the window on the right (own information)says connecting but never ends up the connection. In the window at the bottom under Registry shows how eMule tries connecting to:

Peerbooter
PEERATES.NET
eDonkeyServer No2
TV Underground
eMule Security

but cannot do it giving the message that it seems down.

I hope somebody can help me with this.

I have directed the TCP & UDP ports of the router and the Port Test that eMule performs has finaly pass, so I gess there is no problem with ports, router or firewalls.

Look forward for your help. Thanks a lot.
