Tipping Uploaders With Bitcoin A way to tip good uploaders using Bitcoin

The uploader could setup a bitcoin address (one for every download client willing to tip him) and offset 500-1000 MB of upload from the specific client.
When the coins arrive to the address the Upload "debt" is cleared up.
This should allow people to give back to good uploaders in cash what they could not give to the network in bandwidth and file sharing.
This would reward good eMule uploaders, would allow downloaders to reward them if they want to, would push to develop the network in something bigger (and scarier for some).
Currently, the bigger issue, for me, is the limited number of files I'm able to share (I'm over 40K files shared). Without some monetary incentive the development will lag like it is already lagging.
If there is a way to reward people for uploading, then there will be an incentive to develop a system where they can share more files with eMule, there will be incentives to upgrade the ISP subscriptions UP bandwidth and so on.
Other advantages, in my opinion, would be to enlarge the user base of Bitcoin, add traffic to the network (making more difficult to track money flows) and push the development of the Bitcoin network.
Another possibility would be to use Jeb McCaleb Ripple protocol (but it is in development) and it is very difficult to anonymize it.

Offcourse the downloader should pay for the bitcoins. For example if i should feel like giving a uploader some bitcoins, then i would offcourse spend my own bitcoins but through the emule client.
By the way.. i think the possibility to donate some bitcoins to a uploader... itīs a wonderful idea.
Sorry for my bad english

The problem is about fakes, in this way they are going to produce a lot of fakes in order to rise their upload demand.
As far as there is no a real service for file name validation, I think this is not going to help.

1) The tipping would not be automatic. It is determined by the user
2) I have no problem with fakes, I usually use links from forums and they are checked and validated by many users.
3) Being validated by many users, when they are released, there are many good sources (high UP speed) that should be rewarded for the effort.

I don't think it will ever make it into eMule, but maybe a mod is going to try it out. If nothing else it sure is interesting.

I agree.
And to further expand on the arguemtns on the side of caution I have to state that in my opinion it is diametrically opposed to the very idea of filesharing and net neutrality.
Don't mix money and hobby. The internet simply do not need files that badly.

Blockchain as in permanent record of your history of downloading? I'm sure that would be a desirable path for anti-piracy people to follow. Maybe this is really, really a bad idea.
Wasn't getting files off the internet using file sharing closely associated with the word 'free'?
I suspect somebody is wanting to make some money from piracy - a conflict of interest I suspect a lot of old file-sharers would not want to happen.

Right now some idiot has found a large of book titles packaged them up as a rar file and uploaded duplicates named for each n every title. To the point that a good percentage of my search results are these worthless 5.51MB files.
Hate to encourage that sort of thing more so the question has to be how do you intend to police the payments?
