Low Id (sorry)

I switched recently from original emule0.48a to Morph XT. And sorry to star the eternal thread of low id. When I was using emule0.48a I always had the smae problem if somebody is interested I posted months ago the same topic for emule 0.48a here: http://forum.emule-p...mp;#entry887332
The problem is that my internet provider does not give me a public IP unless I pay extra!
But my problem with Morph now is that I cant connect to a server because there is always this message: Low ID will retry 3 times. With emule 0.48a I had no problems connecting to servers even though I had low ID now I cant connect to any server.
I enabled UPnP and this message came:Upnp Status: UPnP: Your IP is a public internet IP, UPnP will be disabled
I update my servers from: http://www.gruk.org/server.met.gz
I think those are real servers, so that should not be the problem.
How can I connect to servers? My download speed with KAD only is low around 3-10Kb/s. Upload 30Kb/s.
My Info is:
eD2K Network
Status: Disconnected
Kad Network
Status: Firewalled
IP:Port: 200.12.60.211:23670
ID: 3356245203
Buddy: Connected
Web Interface
Status: Disabled
Wap Interface
Status: Disabled
Upnp
Status: UPnP: Your IP is a public internet IP, UPnP will be disabled
Thank you very much for reading this! Greetings!

Also, if you use eMule and other P2P software a lot, it is worth it to pay for an public ip. You can get a noticeable speed increase.

I unchecked "Use smart LowID check on connect", still didnt work. I have been thinking about the public IP, ($90), still thinking!
Thank you very much!

Can you pass the port test?
Please try to contant your isp or some local boards or expert friends. (Morph is not different here from official)
YOu do not need to forward ports. (since you have public ip)
YOu might have to disable some firewall.
Trouble connecting to a server? Use kad and /or refresh your server list
Strange search results? Check for fake servers! Or download morph, enable obfuscated server required, and far less fake server seen.

I went back to emule 0.48a, no problem connecting to a server (with Low ID of course but I resigned myself to low ID, I only wanted to be able to connect to a server with Morph XT)! Before switching back I tried what you suggested xscarab but it did not help. But thank you very much for answering!
leuk_he: The port test fails every time, I dont have a public IP ( I think I confused the terms in my previous post, sorry), to get an public IP I have to pay extra! Jeje so I had resigned myself to low ID, but with emule0.48a I always could connect to servers, even if it meant being connected with low id. I tried to connect with MorphXT and It wont, even if I put as xscarab suggested options - mod options - emulEspana - change the reconnect on lowID value. (0 would stop it trying to reconnect ? ) It wont connect to ANY server because of the low Id! So I went back to emule 0.48a, I am sorry because I had liked some other things about MorphXT very much!
Thanks to both for your answers! Greetings!

This is a public ip.
I think you will need to disable the "obfuscation required" in the server options to be able to connect.

eMule proper (v0.48a, v0.49a, v0.49b BETA 1) and eMule Xtreme (v0.48a/v6.1) do NOT suffer this problem. I can watch my LinkSYS WRT54GS router page with DD-WRT software, auto-refresh and see what UPnP does on the router in very near real time (1-2s delay). I can watch the v0.49b BETA 1 add/delete UPnP settings during detection, although it never successfully deletes after normal program execution despite configuration to do so.
I think it is a UPnP detection bug specific to Morph XT.
I have a dynamically assigned IP from PPPoE handled by DD-WRT, and DHCP on client, with DD-WRT assigned to respond with same LAN IP based on MAC.
Using Knoppix, running eMules from WINE. :-D Have run eMule v0.48 & Xtre v6.1 from Windows proper (XP32 & Vista64), and UPnP worked correct.

I was having this problem and entered mine on a whim and i was finally able to connect to a server - i have a yellow arrow on the server icon at the bottom, I'll work on that next! But this should help connecting to a server with emulemorph.......
******UPDATE**************
After trying several servers, I was able to get green arrow - i guess it's the icons for low/hi id..............diff servers gave me one or the other.........

typically that can be accessed at 192.168.0.1 and your network box user ID and password are in the manuals
read the manuals on how to configure the port forwards

Go to Menubar > Options > Connection. Check the Checkbox "Use UPnP to setup ports". Restart eMule.
I had eMule 50.a installed (working fine many years)), and installed Morph over it.
Morph took over all settings, but NOT this one!
The checkbox was checked when eMule was installed, but was automatically unchecked when I installed Morph over it.
So it seems to be a bug in Morph.
I could find out because I previously saved the eMule folder under program Files by copying it to a different location.
Starting eMule.exe from that, showed a checked checkbox. Starting eMule.exe from the modified folder, did not.
This is a severe bug, I think..
Many may upgrade eMule this way. And for me it was a long time ago, since I solved the Lowid-problem this way.
So I forgot about this solution, and certainly did not count on this during the upgrade.
Also, not many will know, they can click on the Server button, to see any Lowid-message under the Tab "Log".
Hope this helps. Greetz! :-)
