Hi everyone,

It has been a while. Sorry for the delay but I had to graduate so I was kind of busy. Anyway, this is done and here we go again!

So what's news, you might wonder. Most importantly, I bring back to you: updates for IP2Country! I have altered the code to work with "MaxMind GeoLite Country" and henceforth it will use the data maintained and provided by MaxMind by default. You will need to update your countryflag.dlls and you should reset the update URL to default.

Other than that it's mostly bug fixing and incremental improvements. I merged quite a few changes for the WebInterface (but also other features) from ScarAngel so you can now enjoy them in MorphXT. Note that the language files have not been updated but only a very few strings have been added. For a more detailed report please refer to the changelog. Enjoy!

Regards, Stulle

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Hope you like it. :)

Note: I recreated the Git repository so it will also include the old CVS repository changelog. While this allows you to browse the history of the entire repository, you will not be able to browse the history of a single file (like emule.cpp) from the beginning to its very end. There will be a gap between the original CVS repository and when we started using Git. Be this as it may, you will need to clone the current repository anew if you wish to use it!

Could you explain more clearly these two points?

Where do we get the updated dll's (ip2country.dll and countryflag.dll)?
What is the "update URL default"?

It's really not that difficult. I meant countryflag.dll, I just did not bother checking the exact name when I wrote the post. As for the update URL... you know there is a feature to update the .csv, right? Well, reset the URL and the new default will be applied. Really not a big deal!

I see that the default ipfilter is the Scarangel's one
Is there an estimate on how often it is updated? (here http://sourceforge.n...r%20%28Ozzy%29/ I find that the latest version is dated 29 August)

Why the sourcecodes are the same as the previous version?

Yes, it has been the default for a while. There is no estimate for when it is updated. Ozzy, the guy providing this filter, has some health issues so basically he just pops up every now and then and releases a new version. As of now I am not aware of a filter provider who is updating regularly and who I trust without doubt. But feel free to suggest another default.

Ah, thanks for noticing. It seems I forgot to finish updating the directory after I updated the flags. Anyhow, the complete source package is complete.

I uploaded the new package to Sourceforge so please be sure to update your mirrors!

But feel free to suggest another default.

You can take a look at emule-security's one.
Updated and Legit Emule Server Lists are available here:
www.emule-security.org/ and shortypower.org
You can also enable options for updating server list from a connected server and clients
in order to have all currently available servers listed in your Emule software.

Hey Hun, welcome back! Thanks for the new version! :)

Been a while since I've compiled your version of eMule and I was wondering what is the recommended compiler? If it makes a difference, I'm on a Win7/x64 computer, but compiled and am running your last version in 32-bit mode.

Any other compilation advice greatly appreciated, as always!

Happy Holidays, Stulle! :)

Hi, I don't suggest anything. You may use MS Visual Studio 2003 SP1, 2005 SP1, 2008 SP1, or 2010 SP1. I used the latter for the release build. 2003 SP1, for instance, should give you a smaller file. I did not test all the solution files this time but they should still work.

Stulle

Have been busy myself, but finally got around to getting this built. I used 2010 SP1 and the appropriate solution file. Compiled quickly and easily first time. Ironically, the .exe file wasn't that much larger.

Thanks, Stulle! :)

I tried nearly everything... MorphXT is crashing. I have been dealing with this today and I can't even run MorphXT. It crashes right away at the beginning, startup...

Xtreme is fine, Official is fine, NeoMule is fine...

But I want to use MorphXT.

It is not an issue for last version. I run almost 10 latest version of MorphXT and still crashing...

I'm running Windows 7 64-Bit.
