This issue was resolved by installing the newest eMule. NeoMule problem remained.
---------------------------------------------

I had previously a HomePNA connection and both Kad and eD2K connected fine. After changing to ADSL-modem, Kad connects with status "firewalled". eD2K status is "Connecting" and never connects.

In the Servers window log, it says all the servers time out.

First thing I did, was to get new server list from http://www.server-met.de/ and copied the downloaded server.met into the config-folder.

Next thing I read this forum's guides and went to portforward.com to check the router settings for port forwarding. Found the corrcet device there, too: http://portforward.c...-8840/eMule.htm

In eMule Options/Connection my TCP port is set to 37410 and UDP to 7318. I logged into the ADSL-modem's settings via web browser, to the Virtual Servers settings, and set the TCP and UDP ports followingly:

Server IP: my computer's IP-address

External port start: 37410
External port end: 37410
Protocol TCP
Internal port start: 37410
External port end: 37410

External port start: 7318
External port end: 7318
Protocol UDP
Internal port start: 7318
External port end: 7318

The Kad status changed into "Open," but eD2K doesn't connect, remains as "Connecting" status.

Also, I went to the Port Triggering settings and gave same values as above, there. Resulted into no change to the connection status. Yes, I restarted eMule.

"Test ports" button in eMule Options/Connection results into green checks with both TCP successful and UDP successful.

I'm using NeoMule 4.50 client. I know, there is a newer version now.

Outdated server list. Use gruk and/or peerates lists and try again.

Servers right clic Remove all servers then in Update server.met from URL type:

http://gruk.org/server.met.gz

http://peerates.net/servers.php

Then Update

eD2K links

ed2k://|serverlist|http://www.gruk.org/server.met|/

ed2k://|serverlist|http://peerates.net/servers.php|/

In addition, delete port triggering rules. You don't need them

Cheers :D

I installed the newest eMule yesterday. And used the same server.met as with the NeoMule. ADSL-router settings and ports are the same in eMule and NeoMule.

With eMule both connect, kad and Ed2K.

So obviously the server list was not outdated. Yeah, port triggering isn't required, and it doesn't seem to help.

Something strange. Why eMule's Ed2K connects, NeoMule's doesn't? And apparently this does has to do with the ADSL-modem, as with HomePNA NeoMule worked fine.

But if someone has this problem with NeoMule, try the newest eMule!

Is outdated, few servers in updated gruk and peerates serverlists were there, yet.
