Not sure what you mean by a broken download, but you probably want MorphXT's import parts to file feature.

First Close eMule. backup your files.

Download Morph and run it - find it here: http://forum.emule-p...howtopic=150281 . You can either choose to stick it in its own folder and use it separately, or can just overwrite the existing emule exe with the Morph's emule exe (you can overwrite again with the emule exe after you've finished if you want).

Find the exact same file that you want to download* (either via ed2k link site, search, or however) Start the download. Probably helps to have at least 1 complete source for the file before doing the importing so there's a hashset thingie for Morph to compare with. Right click the file and choose import parts to file from the menu.

Direct it to the file that you want to import and click Open. Morph will then add as many complete chunks from the original file as it can. You can import from good part files, corrupt .part files and other file types such as incomplete torrents. The degree of success will depend on how many good chunks the original file has.

Once you've recovered the corrupt parts you can finish the download using Morph, or revert back to emule. Stop Morph and either replace with exe with the original emule.exe and restart emule, or if you put morph in a different folder, start the original emule and use the import downloads tool to import the new good .part files that you just made from the Morph Temp folder.

* you may even be able to import some parts from a very similar (but non-identical-hash) file.
Are we nearly there yet?

This was one feature that made MorphXT so attractive, and now I see it is available in the latest 0.60 'standard' version that has just been released all those years later..The joys of open source code - you stand on the shoulders of giants!

I used this Morph's feature at least twice; this made the decision obvious.
