In the footsteps of Firefox search add-on i pretty much recycled the code for use with Internet Explorer. Obviously IE employs completely different ways of extending it's context menu. In this case one needs to add two Registry Keys:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt\Search via eMule...]
@="C:\\Program Files\\eMule\\eMuleSearchIE.html"
"Contexts"=dword:00000012

This creates a menu like this

I have written eMuleSearchIE.html to handle clicking on that menu and put it in C:\Program Files\eMule\

That's it!

I also made a setup executable eMuleSearchIE.exe if you can't be bothered to do it by hand.
The setup executable was compiled from nullsoft install script.

There is a complete package eMuleSearchIE.rar with all source code and installation instructions as well.

Would you be interested in making it a part of eMule distribution in one form or the other?
