When reading on a particular subject that interests me i often want to see if there is any information available on this subject on ed2k or Kad networks. I think that pretty much 80% of all my searches originate from the browser. Up until now i have been always forced to select the text (artist name, book title etc) in Firefox, copy it to clipboard, then go to eMule, go to the Search window, paste selected text into the search query text box and click on Start button. Then go back to Firefox! argh...
Never again!
Since version 0.50a eMule accepts and handles new kind of ed2k links, namely ed2k://|search|%s|/ where %s is the search query text.
I just have completed writing a Firefox add-on that allows you to select some text in Firefox and by clickin on the right mouse button select a context menu 'Search eMule for "..."'. That menu item sends the selected text to eMule and it runs a search automatically.

You can find this Add-on on the official Mozilla site : eMuleSearch Firefox Add-on
I hope it will save you as much time as it does to me. Enjoy!
