Just examined my key index and noticed that a file name like
"Someone sings 'Nice Song'.mp3"
results in keywords 'nice and song' which are totally useless of course with the hyphens stuck to them. Shouldn't the ' be among the INV_KAD_KEYWORD_CHARS ?

Edit: renamed to something harmless

Hyphen is already in the list; you're talking about apostrophe. :)
As apostrophe could be used in names like D'Artagnan or abbreviated words like let's, it should not be included into the list.

Duh, of course. Must have been tired.
Apart from your example apostrophe can be used in
Singer's discography
'Nice Song'
- both are probably not to be found. But Artagnan could be well found on it's own (and even let). So I think the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

Other examples are SingerA+SingerB or SingerA&SingerB which don't get split as they should.
