I'm connected via a linksys wireless router.
I followed the instructions and configured uPnP.
I installed the Internet gateway and defined the two services for TCP and UDP, using the same ports in eMule's connection options. And it worked yesterday - Test ports was successful and I got an eD2K connection.

Today, test ports fails. and it fails on the IP of my cable modem, not my local IP (assigned by the router).
The server logs shows that uPnP setup was successful [UPnP successfully set up forwardings for ports 34662 (TCP) and 34672 (UDP)], but Test ports still fails and I can't connect to any eD2K server.

What should I do to make it work?
thanks,
Amir

Try defining them manually instead. See http://www.portforward.com for a router/Emule-specific guide.

I tried it - didn't help, and now even the UPnP failed to setup port forwarding.
Any more ideas?

thanks,
Amir

can anyone confirm successful HighID over wifi to a linksys router? I've never been able to get a HighID over wifi .. when plugged in through ethernet everything's perfect though..

My setup:

Linksys WRT56Gv8 (Broadcom BCM5354 chip rev 2 at 240Mhz )

running DD-WRT v24mini firmware (linksys firmware wasn't working neither) but at least DD-WRT is faster and more stable with a lot of other features.

Router never hands or crashes, very fast and stable even running eMule on 3 plugged in machines.

But whatever I do with wifi .. emule can never passes a port connect: TCP 28000 UDP 28010

well, I've tried setting it up on wifi through diff others: belking, linksys, vonage etc... same story. From what I understand .. # of sources and connections have nothing to do with it? I reduced my hard source to 40 and connections to 200 ... no effect :(

Any advice?

Have you changed the ip in portforward, according to the new IP you get when connect wirelessly?
Next tim start your own topic.

Cheers :D

of course. Ip forwarded to my box which is static in LAN. my box is even in DMZ. I mean, does anybody get HighID over wireless? funny thing ... I do the same thing for uTorrent and it's happy ..... eMule is like a woman, can only get satisfied with full contact :)

BTW wireless is not a reason for low id.
Just use port forwarding and disable DMZ.
Have you checked builtin firewall in antivirus?.

Cheers :D
