Sorry, don't understand "resigns" what you wanted to ask me....
Maybe this is the answer to your question ?
The configuration-file ist created after the very first start of the server then the server terminates with a message to reedit the config file.
There must be made changes according the right ip address and other things ....
There are three kinds of people in this world:
people who watch things happen ...
people who complain about things that happen ...
and people who make things happen...

Since I suppress the program?

There should be a configuration file, called "satan.conf". In this config file you may specify a server.met with allready known edonkey-servers.
This file will be rewritten after new servers are added, in case it it's writeable....
Right, I'll use the one from Emule's Serverlist.met. Also, the program did crash several times and had to be restarted. You might want to check into this:
AppName: satan-edonkey-server-windows_32_bit_x86.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: satan-edonkey-server-windows_32_bit_x86.exe
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 000116e4

P.s. According to our testclient (aMule) your server is still up and running now.

I'm sorry but you've got to be crazy to use this. Just my opinion.

P.s. According to our testclient (aMule) your server is still up and running now.
It seems to happen at random, after I run the executable and while it's running. It will simply close with that Microsoft Error message window popping up. Since I have no way to monitor it's activity, except by watching the TCP stacks, I have no idea what causes it. What you need is a log file generator to trap error message for evaluation, and some sort of live activity monitor in the DOS window to indicate connects and other information. Our mutual connect seems stable, though. I didn't see any other contacts other than yours, and I have an updated server.met in the directory, so I'm still unclear as to what to do here.

please be patient ... we will provide a debug version in which we will 'hide' all informations about connected clients
and the offered files ...

How to detect blacklistet servers ? Should we read a local file periodically, hard code the allready known servers or ask any ?? ressource in the web for it ..... any ideas ?
The "server version" reported by the fakes was also a good hint: if you capture a login sequence with ethereal, you can see that the fake servers don't use Gzip when connection - something they SHOULD do if they were true eServers ...

GZIP can create overhead on small community servers. Some of server administrators decide not to turn on GZIP.

I hope you keep it that way. I know of no reason why the Satan Edonkey Server devs should trust you or any other random Joe who's not well known and been with eMule and Edonkey for years. You could be a MPAA/RIAA decoy, too, anyone here could, not only the Satan team.
I'm strongly against releasing the source code. If the people behind SatanEdonkeyServer turn out to be crooks, the project is over, noone will use it anymore except them. Maybe they're really badass and try to beta test a new honeypot edonkey server for the content industry using the emule community, but that would be too stupid to be true and I don't believe it.
In contrast if the server code was made open source, even putting it under a very restrictive license like GPL, it will not legally prevent anyone to create honeypot servers, since it's not forbidden to keep altered GPL'ed code closed when you don't distribute the binaries and only use the software internally. While the GPL would theoretically help against so called GPL breaker eMule mods, which necessarily are distributed, it does nothing against honeypot servers as long as the server software isn't released which will 100% certainly never be the case (except by others like MDD).
Let those idiots write their own server software. It's seems that the current generation of fake servers can't even use gzip or obfuscation, they will "steal" (i.e. use) other people's work so they can make money out of it!

hardcode requires the dev's, modify code any time the input data/pathfile, or desired format changes, at least, you use a internal variant, for receive/stored the new data.
Use external source, such as Config file, and fakeserver filter built-in, as leuk_he suggest, it's the best solution.

If you would want to imrpove something, help the community for fun, then you could have contributed other usefull things. Such as improved kad. Servers are outdated. What`s next, a Closed Source edk client?

But it costs them time (and money).
It`s simple. If it`s Open Source a lot of 'good' programmers will look into it and will find security problems more easy and report them to get fixed.
If it`s Closed Source not so much 'good' programmers look inside. But 'bad' programmers will still look into it, such as crackers or paid programmers. Sure them will need more time. But if them find something worse, then them won`t report it, but abuse it. And... Nothing works immediately, there are always bugs.
Security is always thought obscurity and this is generally accepted when it comes to it security.

What do you think if the edonkey-server-souce-code is - ready to be used - by everyone out in this world ? We would have MANY MANY fake-servers, spy-servers, .... out in the world. Users won't trust in the eDonkey-Network any more because many servers will fool them.
Like said, the trust in any servers is over. You can read that hype in every forum, it`s not only use kad, don`t use servers.
