Evil **AA, they killed the donkeys!
Damn now I have to reconsider the entire SCT (Sub Chunk Transfer aka Smaller Part Size) project once again. I had just planned to go for the eDonkey solution as it already had the infrastructure ready and therefore useful even if no other Mods inplemented it. But now with the donkeys gone there is no point anymore.
With some luck I will release a new build within the next 24 hours, that addresses some of the findings done in this thread and that is also based on the 0.47c release. The ESE Mod will probably taking a bit more as I'm not sure what to put into it, and secondly I don't know if the interrest is that big to be worth the effort to more or less create a lite version of NetF WARP.

Is it possible to disable this 'feature'?
I have a very high ratio, but it doesn't mean that I want to shape credits.

Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

I'd keep up the eDonkey way as there are still some clients around supporting it (newer versions and AFAIK LPhant, too) and I'm sure others will finally join the SCT project.

There might also be some benefits from a corruption handling perspective to use a third hashset, as the Crumb and AICH hashes are never aligned except for the first hash in the part.
I hope to have atleast downloading ready (as in the old NetF beta 13) in a not too distant future.

I'm already aware that the agreement between MM and the RIAA includes a paragraph that prohibits them from releasing the sources.
