we could test anything, forced fake webcache, packet header modification (slight, to be compatible...), etc.

We are working on it....
look here: http://forum.emule-p...howtopic=102483
I have currently to concrrent concepts implemented for testing, one using SUI PK for session kay exchange and one using DH key aggreament to generate a secure session key.
Booth concepts include multi random port, and using a fast XOR encryption for the entier packets.
I need to finish some not yet done parts and do some testing, so it will take some days till it's ready.
I think I'll releas a first test version at the end of this week, unless some unpredicted problems occure.

it is the first client to be able to download form multiple networks the same file.
NL provides the first fully decentralized scalable torrent and DDL keyword search,
it implements an own novel anonymous file sharing network, providing anonymity and deniability to its users,
as well as many other new features.
It is written in C++ with Qt and is available for Windows, Linux and MacOS.

As far as I heard there are countries where all major ISP do this, and besides it is expensive.

DavidXanatos is right. In my country there are two ISP. One depends on the other and the major one is Traffic Shaping. So who do I change to?

As I wrote on the other thread i believe sooner or later you will run out of ISPs.

Besides What do we really lose by doing this?!

Keep up the good work David :flowers:

I insist that there isn't a simple solution that actually works...
By "works" I mean that it works longer than a few weeks until the ISPs adapt to the changes.
If one really wants to get off that limit then one has to create a new network for that or change to a network that already offers anonymity.

EDIT: yeah - more than 2000 posts :punk:

Forced fake webcache ->> just try the proxy feature of emule and emule will tunnel all your connections through the proxy
packet header mod -> makes no sense. If I want to block eMule, I would just set up a block for the default ports.
The best thing would be a "Choose Random Ports"-Feature (default disabled, for noobs)

I already have all ports closed.....
lowid forever.......and 50kB cap :-(
uhm...use the proxy without a proxy?

i won't be so sure all ISP will be so good to follow quickly.....
it took them a lot of time to start capping P2P.
if Cisco is doing all the work, well, that will be bad.

Well my ISP is fairly young in the broadband field. I have reliable sources from people working in my ISP that they have contracted Cisco and are installing their DPI switches. Within 1 month they have managed to drop my country from the ed2k network :(
