Since i have a modum and router in one, i had trouble to get emule work properly. Now i have discovered that when i enable dmz in my router, all goes fine! High id. The only thing is, will it be very dangerous to do?
I use windows xp when i use emule since i don't manage to open the ports in other firewalls (zonealarm pro to pro for me).
Someone out there with some advice?

And yes, DMZ is dangerous if you don't have a really good and correctly configured software firewall protecting your PC. DMZ is completely unnecessary when port forwarding is done correctly.
You do seem to have a software firewall, but I can't be sure that the configuration does not leave too much unprotected. You seem to have managed to let eMule's incoming requests through your ZoneAlarm, otherwise DMZ would make no difference. The question is - how big is the hole that you made in ZA.
So forwarding correct ports and no DMZ would be a much safer solution.

It's definitely worth looking at portforward.com to see, if your router is listed there. They have portforwarding guides for most of the common routers and the guides exist specifically written for eMule and other applications.

Maybe the forwarding didn't work because you didn't forward it to the correct IP address. You have to use the IP address of your computer when you create the forwarding rules. You can get the address by running ipconfig command in the Command Prompt window. You should also make the address of your computer static, otherwise it might change when you reboot or disconnect from the router and the forwarding rules become useless.
