Downloading files found via the FileDonkey web search is supposed to be easy... magic even... except, I can't get anything to work from it.

As an example, I searched for something I figured there might be a lot of (insert something popular here). I got a gazillion hits. One such file was "Something Popular.mpg", Availability: 759, Completed Sources: 250, etc. Every time I click on the file name (link), it keeps sending me back to the same detailed description of the file. Never does it offer a valid eD2K link.

No matter what I search for (i'm not interested in "the something popular I had to edit out"), I am never able to get an eD2K link. What does it take to get an eD2K link out of a FileDonkey search?

Pls read forum rules and edit your post.

Good question though. I never use Filedonkey - ed2k (or even better, Kad) search works fine for me, but I can't see how you get ed2k links either. Surely I am missing something obvious here?

You have to click the link more than once - takes 2 or 3 clicks before you get to the ed2k link afaik.
